News: Royal House of Shadows Series – Coming SOON

I know this is another one of those News Posts that everyone has heard about but I still wanted to share on my blog because I’m very excited about it! 🙂

There is a new series coming out starting in September that will be a four book series written by four different authors.  I’ve only really heard of two of the authors but I’m sure people who have been reading paranormal will know them all!  The only reason I’m really excited is because Gena Showalter is one of the authors and she is officially on my favorite authors list that I want to read all of her work.  Plus it will be fun to read this series as it comes out opposed to way after the fact like so many other series. 😦  So enough with my talking and onto the important stuff!

You can vist the Royal House of Shadows website HERE.

Book 1: Lord of the Vampires by Gena Showalter

Book Description:
Nicolai the Vampire was renowned for his virility, but in a twist of fate “The Dark Seducer” had become a sex slave in the kingdom of Delfina—stripped of his precious timepiece and his memory. All that remained was a primal need for freedom, revenge—and the only woman who could help him.
In her dreams, a wanton vampire called to Jane Parker, drawing her to his dark sexuality and his magical realm.  But for a human, all was not a fairy tale in Delfina.  Jane was the key to Nicolai’s memory…but exploiting her meant dooming the only mortal he craved.

Book 2: Lord of Rage by Jill Monroe

Book Description:
Princess Breena had been dreaming of her warrior lover when she was ripped from her Elden castle and thrown into a strange, dangerous realm. Lost and alone, she prayed for survival and vengeance for her stolen kingdom. She found both in a woodland cottage…in a dark bear of a man.

The golden-haired beauty had eaten his food and slept in his bed when Osborn found her. Though he wanted to awaken his virgin princess to carnal pleasures, Breena wanted more—including his warrior skills. Skills the once-legendary mercenary had long buried. Now Osborn had a choice—risk his life or deny his princess her fairy-tale ending.

Book 3: Lord of the Wolfyn by Jessica Andersen

For practical Reda Weston, nothing could explain how reading a sexy version of “Little Red Riding Hood” catapulted her into another realm—face-to-fang with the legendary wolf-creature who seduced women. A wolf who transformed into a dark, virile man….
Dayn cursed the Sorcerer that turned him wolfyn and damned him to a lonely fate. As a beast, he mated with women to gain strength. Strength he needed to rescue his royal parents. But as a man, he craved Reda’s heated, sizzling touch. With little time left, Dayn had to either embrace his wolf to save his kingdom…or fight it to save his woman.

Book 4: Lord of the Abyss

As the Dark Lord who condemns souls to damnation in the Abyss, Micah is nothing but a feared monster wrapped in impenetrable black armor. He has no idea he is the last heir of Elden, its last hope. Only one woman knows—the daughter of his enemy. Liliana is nothing like her father, the Blood Sorcerer who’d cursed Micah. She sees past Micah’s armor to the prince inside.  A prince whose sinful touch she craves. But first she has to brave his dark, dangerous lair and help him remember.  Because they only have till midnight to save Elden.

Just an FYI for anyone who doesn’t know these authors I thought I would give you a little info. You can visit their websites by clicking on their names and I outlined some of their popular books/series.

Gena Showalter:
I was first turned to Showalter’s work when Julie (Yummy Men and Kickass chicks) asked that I review a book for her 1-year blog anniversary.  She suggested I read Catch a Mate which is a contemporary romance and I was hooked.  I then talked to a few people and they suggested I try the Lords of the Underworld Series which is Gena’s paranormal romance series and so far I LOVE it.  She is also well known for her Alien Huntress Series.  If you haven’t checked her out you should, she is a very talented writer with works in everything from Contemporary Romance to Paranormal Romance to Young Adult.  She is one of my favorite authors and I plan on reading EVERYTHING she’s written.

Jill Monroe:
Jill is a new author for me. I’d never heard of her before but I see she’s had books released through Harlequin that you can check out on her website.  She is also helping with a magazine that will be released in January 2012 with Gena Showalter called Dating the Undead that looks very entertaining!

Jessica Andersen:
I’ve heard about Ms. Andersen’s work through a few blogs reviews on her Nightkeepers series.  It sounds like an amazing series that everyone has really enjoyed.  She also has several releases through Harlequin.  She is an author I know I’ll need to check out sooner than later!

Nalini Singh:
This is another author I’ve heard A LOT about!  She is well known for her Psy/Changeling Series and her Guild Hunter Series.  I know that I need to check out her work soon and I plan on doing that by starting the Psy/Changeling series…just don’t know when.  I know several people who love her work and want to read everything about her and that is a good enough push for me that I need to pick up one of her works and check it out.

Guest Review: Beat of Temptation by Nalini Singh

I was so excited when Julie, with Yummy Men and Kick Ass Chicks, agreed to guest review for my blog.  You see, Julie and I have a long history in the blogging world…well a long history for me.  After I had been reading the Night Huntress Series by Jeaniene Frost I decided to try to start up a book reviewing blog.  I stumbled upon her page through a search of the series and then asked her for her advice on the blog I had started and any pointers for making my blog a good one.  She was faithful to me in checking my blog and commenting on it from the very beginning and I can not thank her enough for that.  Well from there we’ve become great friends!  I have really enjoyed talking to her about everything and all the help she gives me with my blog.  She is such a sweet person and I respect her very much.  If you’ve never checked out her blog, please do by clicking on her button!  I promise you will not be disappointed!

Take it away Julie…

“Happiness isn’t guaranteed by the magic of Christmas.  Sometimes, a woman has to fight with everything in her, with her pride and her fury, her love and her anger, with her very soul, in order to claim the joy…or the man, meant to be hers.”
